Kim Moore received his BBA in entrepreneurship and marketing from Baylor University in 1981. Following graduation, he worked in his family's business operating Gibson’s Discount Centers in West Texas. The business was subsequently sold, and Kim spent a few years in the commercial real estate brokerage industry before entering the financial planning industry in 1987.

Starting out as a sole proprietor, Kim learned the process of planning and investment and insurance management and began developing client relationships. In the first few years, he discovered that his family business background and his studies in entrepreneurship helped him have a deep appreciation for business owners and the myriad dimensions and responsibilities they face each day.

Kim is a cofounder of Business Financial Group, LLC (BFG). While no longer providing securities or advisory services, Kim currently focuses on growth and marketing of the firm’s corporate service areas (Human Resources, Payroll,  and Employee Benefits) and consulting with business owners and nonprofits on structuring executive compensation, succession planning, and strategy development.

Kim and his wife, Jackie, have three children plus two daughters-in-law and a son-in-law. They also have two adorable grandchildren, Asher and Eden. Kim has served on several non-profit boards. He and Jackie are members of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and Woodland Church in San Antonio. They enjoy traveling with their family and hanging out at Lake LBJ. Kim plays golf and likes to bird hunt and cook. He dreads the time on the treadmill but is hoping to maintain his snow-skiing legs just enough so he can hang with his kids on the slopes.
